Dr. Michael Chouster, originally from Ukraine, immigrated to Canada as a child with aspirations of becoming a veterinarian. He pursued his passion after completing a bachelor’s degree in physics and economics at the University of Toronto and serving as a pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Driven by a desire to heal animals, he obtained a second bachelor’s degree in Biology, a master’s in biomedical science, and a doctorate in veterinary medicine from Ontario Veterinary College.
Dr. Chouster’s areas of expertise include internal medicine, ophthalmology, and wildlife medicine, and he finds joy in problem-solving and nursing sick pets back to health.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Chouster has dedicated his spare time to volunteering at nature centers, particularly the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center and the South Florida Wildlife Center, where he cared for endangered sea turtles and other native wildlife. In his free time, Dr. Chouster also enjoys engaging in outdoor activities like kite surfing, rock climbing, and hiking. Fluent in English, Russian, and French, Dr. Chouster looks forward to meeting your family and providing exceptional medical care for your beloved pet!
